The following rules and guidelines apply to any party that chooses to work with Hangnail Productions.

Hangnail Productions [henceforth referred to as "HP"] reserves the right to change or modify any of the prices, discounts, offers, rules and/or guidelines [i.e. email critiques, referral values, etc.] without the consent [written or otherwise] of any party involved either directly or indirectly with HP as a result of unforeseen circumstances. HP reserves this right to change any detail at their discretion; although nothing will be changed unless HP feels it to be absolutely necessary and/or in the best interest of the project in question.

 

Any party that would like to enlist any service[s] offered by HP such as web design, artwork, duplication, or other services to be named later [all of which are henceforth simply referred to as "project"] is required to pay an amount of their total cost as a safety deposit to HP. This amount will be discussed and agreed upon prior to commencement during initial dialog. This deposit will ultimately be subtracted from the total cost, but is non-refundable if a party fails to follow through with their monetary and material obligations. Upon initiation of work with HP, and payment of said safety deposit you agree to these [and the following] terms. If you have any questions please contact us or browse this site. Upon agreement to work with HP, and after safety deposit payment, all parties agree to the following:

 

1. Once a site or logo is purchased [paid in full] from HP, the purchaser gains all rights to the material to use in any way they see fit.

 

2. Artwork or site elements created for any party WILL NOT BE USED on any other HP [project] without the consent of the party in question. However, all created artwork, logos, pictures, and/or information may be used for advertisement and promotional use at the discretion of HP. At no point will extended royalties be distributed.

 

3. Specific details about each project will be provided upon request/initial contact. However, the details of said project[s] may also change without the knowledge or consent of all parties involved.

 

4. Once a purchase is made, all documents will be kept on file for a minimum of 3 months. In the [extremely rare] event of file corruption, your purchase will be on file and able to be restored within this period. HP cannot guarantee the restoration of files after this period expires.

 

5. If a party receives corrupted files and artwork they will be replaced immediately.

 

6. Even if the client loses their artwork and HP is unable to restore it after the 3 month period, no refund[s] will be distributed.

 

7. If a party does not meet a project[s] deadline [for materials or monetary responsibilities] said project may be halted immediately/indefinitely. Any involved parties will be notified but receive NO compensation [refund], since they have failed to uphold their previously agreed upon responsibilities. Any and all funds or material received [deposit, sketches, pictures etc.] will not be returned and will concurrently become the property of HP.

 

8. Any image and/or information [logo, images, written material, etc.] provided by any party may be edited at the discretion of HP. This applies but is not limited to images and information used in advertisement, within projects, and on the HP website.

 

9. By agreeing to work with HP, you simultaneously agree to the preceding stipulations.
